Hervé Théry
Hervé is a geographer, currently guest professor at the University of Sao Paulo, and former head of the department of geography of the Ecole Normale Supérieure, where he founded the Laboratory of Cartographies of Computerised Data. Hervé was chairman of the International Advisory Group, initiated by the G7 countries and the World Bank, for the conservation of the Brazilian rainforests. He wrote and co-authored many books about the environment, agriculture, the world food issue, Brazil, globalisation and comparative analyses between the Northern and the Southern countries as well as between different Southern countries.
